Alan T. Banks has been providing sound financial advice to his clients with the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America since 1982. He graduated from Lipscomb University with a B.S. degree in Business Management and was an All-American basketball player his senior year. He was drafted in the European Basketball Association his senior season. He has received numerous professional organizational awards and honors including New Agent of the Year (Burton Tally Agency-Guardian Nashville Office) in 1982, New Agent of the Year (Nashville Association of Life Underwriters) in 1983, Leaders Club Qualifications for 16 times, and Life Member of the Million Dollar Roundtable.

Alan began his career with Peachtree Planning Corporation in 2004, after working with the Nashville Guardian Agency for 22 years. His financial team includes Shaun Townsend and Karen Potter. Alan advises their clients on a variety of financial matters including retirement planning, investment planning and risk management. Alan develops strategies and solutions to help individuals, families and businesses reach financial security as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Alan lives in Hendersonville, TN with his wife since 1985, Stephanie Banks. Alan and Stephanie have four children, “A.T.”, Kat, Alex, and Ashtin. Alan is an active member of the Madison Church of Christ where he is a Deacon. He is a former President of the Nashville Kiwanis Club, a former President of the Tennessee Christian Medical Center Foundation Board, a former Co-Chairperson of the American Heart Association, a former member of the Hendersonville Rotary Club, a current member of NAIFA and is a third degree black-belt, having competed in over 45 heavy-weight martial arts fighting competitions over the past decade throughout the Southeast. During his career, Alan has been a frequent motivational speaker at many FCA, church and professional events. In his leisure time, he coaches girls fast pitch softball and girls basketball, where he has coached over 800 games in the past 8 years.
