John Shevlin CPA
John has been providing sound financial advice to his clients for over 30 years. Upon graduating with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Georgia he joined Price Waterhouse, an international financial consulting firm. John is the recipient of several professional organizational awards and honors including, Leaders Club Qualifier for Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, taught courses for Georgia Society of CPAs, guest lecturer to colleges and universities, past officer of elementary and high school PTAs, and officer of sport booster club.
John began his career with Peachtree Planning Corporation in 1990, after working as a business professional for several years. John currently heads the Professional Development Program for the firm. He advises his clients on a variety of financial matters including retirement planning, investment planning and risk management. John develops innovative strategies to help individuals, families and businesses reach financial security as efficiently and effectively as possible.
John lives in Atlanta with his wife, Flora. They have three children, and are the proud grandparents of Elizabeth, Jack, Lily, Benton, Ella and Rose. Active in his community, John is a member of the Peachtree Presbyterian Church, where he was a former Deacon. He is a former member of the Advisory Council for the UGA School of Accountancy and a member of the Atlanta Life Underwriters.
