Katie Mercer - Compliance Officer
Katie joined the firm in February of 2003 after graduating from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where she earned a BA in Communications and a minor in Sociology. After working closely with Brad Stonecipher and the investment department, she developed an interest in equities. Since joining the department full time in June of 2003, Katie has earned her FINRA Series 7, 6, 63, 26 and 24 licenses, making her a registered principal. She also holds Life, Accident & Sickness as well as Variable Products licenses through the state of Georgia.
As a registered compliance officer with Peachtree Planning and Park Avenue Securities (PAS), she specializes in sales supervision and operation oversight. She has received several professional awards and honors including Leaders Club Qualifier for Guardian Life Insurance Company and inclusion in Cambridge Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women.
Katie lives in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and attends Peachtree Presbyterian Church. Active in her community, she is a member of the Junior League of Atlanta and a volunteer with the Nearly New Shop and Trinity’s Families First.
