It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Betty Mathis passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Betty was the beloved wife of Peachtree Planning's Founder and CEO Emeritus, Robert "Bob" E. Mathis, who predeceased her. Betty is survived by her cherished children: sons James and Sam, and daughter Sydney Mathis Bullock, and their families.
Betty and Bob were true partners in life. She was by Bob’s side when he founded Peachtree Planning in 1987 and provided steady council and guidance through the years as the business grew from a scratch organization into a thriving multi-state firm with over 100 financial professionals. Betty’s warmth, wisdom, and fun-loving spirit left a lasting impact on our Peachtree Planning family.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Peachtree Church in the Kellett Chapel, 3434 Roswell Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30342 followed by a reception at the Mathis family home.
