Alan T. Banks has been providing sound financial advice to his clients with the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America since 1982.  He graduated from Lipscomb University with a B.S. degree in Business Management and was an All-American basketball player his senior year.  He was also drafted in the European Basketball Association after his senior season was completed.  He has received numerous professional organizational awards and honors including New Agent of the Year in 1982 (Burton Tally Agency-Guardian Nashville Office) and New Agent of the Year (Nashville Association of Life Underwriters) in 1983.  He is a qualifier of the Million Dollar Roundtable and has qualified for Guardian’s Leaders Club 26 times.

Alan began his career with Peachtree Planning in 2004, after working with the Nashville Guardian office for 22 years.  He, along with his Office Manager Karen Potter, work with clients throughout the United States.  Alan advises clients on a variety of financial matters including corporate planning, estate planning, risk management and retirement planning strategies.  He develops solutions to help individuals, families and businesses reach financial security in a professional and efficient fashion.

Alan and his wife Stephanie live in Hendersonville, TN.  Alan & Stephanie have four children: “A.T.”, Kat, Alex and Ashtin.  Alan and his wife are very involved in special needs assistance for children with autism.  Their son, A.T., is autistic.  Two of their daughters, Kat and Alex were Division I athletes.  Kat played softball at Virginia Tech University and Alex played women’s basketball at Lipscomb University.  Alan and his wife are active members of Long Hollow Baptist Church.  Alan was the former President of the Nashville Kiwanis Club, former President of the Tennessee Christian Medical Center Foundation Board, a former Co-Chairperson of the American Heart Association, a former member of the Hendersonville Rotary Club, a current member of NAIFA as well as an active contributor to Lipscomb University athletics.  He is also a retired 4th degree black belt martial artist in Taekwondo after competing in over 45 heavy-weight martial arts fighting competitions across the southeast.  He also has coached over 1,500 girls fastpitch softball and AAU women’s basketball games.  During his career, Alan has been a frequent motivational speaker at many professional, church, school and FCA events.
