April is a Financial Professional based in the Atlanta office of Peachtree Planning. A native Atlantan, April has spent over 40 years rooted in the city she loves and now resides on the vibrant “Upper Westside.” With a diverse educational background and a passion for service, she brings a powerful mix of personal resilience, professional knowledge, and heartfelt advocacy to her role.
She holds a Pre-Law degree from Morris Brown College and a Fashion Merchandising degree from Bauder College (2006). She is currently expanding her expertise through Data Analytics studies at Kennesaw State University. She earned her Life and Health Insurance License in 2013 and held a Series 6 registration in 2016.

She also brings 15 years of real estate expertise as a licensed Realtor. Her work has been featured in Upscale Magazine, further showcasing her professional accomplishments and reach.
April guides her clients on a variety of financial matters including retirement planning and risk management. She develops personalized strategies to help individuals, families, and businesses reach financial confidence as efficiently and effectively as possible.
She is a proud breast cancer survivor and a passionate advocate for cancer awareness and education. She’s actively involved in the PTA organizations at Morris Brandon Elementary, Sutton Middle School, and North Atlanta High School. Her community engagement also extends to memberships in The Gathering Spot, the Cobb Board of Realtors, and Dîner en Blanc.
Outside of her professional life, April enjoys Marvel movies, Game of Thrones, golf, pickleball, and diving into the world of quantum mechanics.
She joined Peachtree Planning in 2025, following her recovery from chemotherapy, inspired by the firm’s holistic and comprehensive approach to financial planning. Her connection with the firm began in 2016 during early conversations—an opportunity she revisited with renewed purpose and conviction after her personal health journey.
April’s life mission stems from a deeply personal experience—losing her underinsured father to a sudden heart attack while she herself was undergoing chemotherapy. That moment became the catalyst for her commitment to protecting families through strategic income and asset planning. As she puts it, “It has become my life’s mission to financially prepare all those connected to me for life’s unexpected obstacles.”
She is married to Darnell Harrison and is the proud mother of three children: Quron, Eylijah, and Kaleb. April is still shaping her broader business and community goals but remains deeply committed to empowering others through education, protection, and forward-thinking financial strategies.
Her office is located at 5600 Glenridge Drive, Suite 600 East, Atlanta, GA 30342. The phone number is 470.451.1140, and her email address is april.harrison@peachtreeplanning.com.
