John McCollum, CFP®, CExP™
Vice President
John McCollum graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Economics. He joined Peachtree Planning in their Atlanta office after spending two years with an employee benefits company and ultimately moved his business to Augusta.
John's planning practice is built around working with small business owners, professionals, and executives throughout the Southeast. The problems his clients are faced with is not income, but rather the threats to their income and to their cash flow. These threats include inadequate savings levels, taxes, market volatility, death, lawsuit, etc.
Working together through a wholistic planning process, John and his clients collaborate and work towards mitigating the consequences of these threats and many others. The result is, financial confidence does not have to be relied on under ideal circumstances, but under all circumstances.
John resides in Augusta with his wife Mary Anne and daughters, Mary Catherine and Carson. They are members of The Church of the Good Shepherd where he previously served on the Vestry and the Augusta Country Club. Active in his community, John is a member of the Augusta Exchange Club, a graduate of Leadership Augusta and past chairman of the Board of Directors for the Family Y. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for Episcopal Day School, on the board of the Family Y Foundation and of the Augusta Bulldog Club.
